INTRODUCTION

Morobac contains Amorolfine which belongs to the group of medicines called antifungals. It is used in the treatment of fungal skin infections caused by dermatophytes such as tinea pedis (athlete’s foot), tinea cruris (also known as jock itch, which causes a red and itchy rash in the groin and inner thighs), tinea corporis (also known as ringworm, a fungal infection of arms and legs) and tinea manuum (fungal infection on both hands).

It can also be used to treat cutaneous candidiasis and pityriasis Versicolor (a yeast infection of the skin that causes small, discolored patches of skin). Amorolfine effectively kills the infection-causing organisms by inhibiting the biosynthesis of ergosterol. It alters cell membrane permeability, disrupts cellular metabolic processes, and causes cell death.

Apply Morobac on the affected areas once daily preferably in the evening. Continue to apply for this medicine, as long as your doctor tells you to do so, to obtain better results. Always avoid contact with this medicine with your nose, eyes, ears, or mucous membranes (such as mouth and nostrils). If accidental contact happens, wash it out with water immediately and contact your doctor immediately. Stop applying for this medicine and seek immediate medical attention if you experience any signs of allergic reactions such as skin rash. Use sunscreen and protective clothing when outdoors. Regularly use moisturizers to soothe and hydrate the affected area. If it does not get better, speak to a doctor.

USES OF Morobac

  • Treats tinea cruris, tinea corporis, and pityriasis Versicolor

HOW Morobac WORKS

Amorolfine kills the fungi by inhibiting the biosynthesis of ergosterol, an essential component of fungal cell membranes. This leads to alternation in fungal cell membrane permeability, disruption of key fungal metabolic processes, and cell death.

DIRECTIONS FOR USE

Continue to apply for this medicine, as long as your doctor tells you to do so, to obtain better results. In general, this medicine should be continued for at least 2–3 weeks. In foot mycoses, therapy for up to 6 weeks may be necessary. Always avoid contact with this medicine with your nose, eyes, ears, or mucous membranes (such as mouth and nostrils). If accidental contact happens, wash it out with water immediately and contact your doctor immediately.
