INTRODUCTION
Ketoglin- 200MG contains Ketoconazole belongs to the class of drugs called azole antifungals. It is used to treat fungal infections including blastomycosis, coccidioidomycosis, histoplasmosis, chromomycosis, and paracoccidioidomycosis. It gets bound to proteins such as albumin in the circulating blood and is widely distributed in body tissues. This medicine works by binding to the fungal p450 enzymes and stops the cells making ergosterol of the cell wall which is necessary for them to grow.
Always take this medicine as directed by physician. Your doctor will decide the dose and duration of therapy depending upon your age, weight and condition. Swallow the medicine with a glass of water. It is recommended for the use in children and adolescents. Do not take this medicine, if you have adrenal insufficiency. It is not recommended for use in pregnant or breastfeeding women. Consult your doctor before taking this medicine. Tell your doctor, if you are taking or taken or might take any other medicines. The most common side effects include diarrhea, nausea, headache, stomach pain and abnormal liver function test.

HOW TO MANAGE SIDE EFFECTS
Skin rash:
Avoid bath in hot water because hot water can irritate the skin. Moisturizers can be used regular basis to soothe and hydrate the affected area.
Nausea and vomiting:
Keep try taking this medicine with, or just after, a meal or snack and stick to simple meals and do not eat rich or spicy food.
Diarrhea:

Ketoglin- 200MG should be taken with caution in patients with severe kidney disease. Consult your doctor for advice.
LIVER
Ketoglin- 200MG should be taken with caution in patients with severe liver disease. Consult your doctor for advice.
ALLERGY

- Medicines for lowering blood cholesterol such as simvastatin, atorvastatin, lovastatin
- Heart medicines such as epleronone, dronedarone, disopyramide, felodipine, nisoldipine
- Medicines used for the treatment of the paludism such as quinidine, halofantrine
- Medicines used for severe mental health disorders and severe depression such as pimozide, sertindole, lurasidone, quetiapine
- Medicines used for the allergies such as mizolastine
- Dabigatran
- Medicine used to prevent the formation of blood clots
- Medicines to help to sleep and for anxiety such as triazolam, alprazolam, midazolam (taken by mouth)
- Medicines used for migraine attacks such as dihydroergotamine, ergometrine (ergonovine)
- Medicines used in cancers such as irinotecan, everolimus
- Sirolimus such as used to prevent your body from rejecting a kidney transplant
